Halo Reach Beta arrives…thank you Aisha?

On one hand you see Bungie as a master of advertising with their amazing real life shorts and commercials for their Halo products, then there is this.  While I understand that to get a B-list actor to schlock your game may have seemed like a good idea in the board room, but in practice it comes off a little….well….campy.  Aisha Tyler shows up to continue to be “not funny” as she tells you about each new game mode, weapon and change to the Halo formula.  Honestly the video wouldn’t be half bad if it weren’t for it’s delivery.

On a side note we will be posting our in depth thoughts on the beta on tomorrow’s audio podcast so be sure to check back here for all the details.

Halo Reach Beta Live Action Trailer

You know you are a big videogame release when you have a high production live action trailer for a beta (aka demo) of your multiplayer game.  That’s exactly what we have here as Bungie has released a live action trailer for the beta of Halo Reach.

The beta is available to a select few plus the millions who purchased Bungie’s previous game, Halo 3:ODST last fall.  The hype train seems to be ramping up just for Halo Reach’s beta, which means we are sure to get the onslaught before the expected release this November.

One lesson we can learn from the trailer and the world of Halo is that if you drill a large needle in your head and your eyes turn blue.

First Halo Reach Multiplayer Trailer

With little fanfare, bungie released a gameplay trailer of what you can expect in Halo Reach’s multiplayer offerings.  Surely this is what we can expect to see in the beta for the game that goes live this May.

Honestly my initial impression is that it is essentially Halo 3 with jet packs.
