Green Hornet Trailer Is Here

I know it’s been out for a while, and that we’re a little late to the party, but E3 had us all dazzled that we just seemed to miss this one.  Seth Rogen’s next movie, The Green Hornet, has dropped a trailer on us.  I have to admit that I have no history with the Green Hornet series and therefore am looking at this movie from a total outsider, but right now it looks mediocre.

Before you go hating on me, let me explain.  Seth Rogen helped write the story, and while i love some of his writing some of his movies just don’t carry along very cohesively.  Nothing shown yet in the trailer has done anything but to confirm that the movie will probably be a fun rental that will be left out of most people’s thoughts after the first week of release.  The action looks mediocre, the comedy is generic and the source material just isn’t strong enough to get me excited.

As Lamar always used to say, “but don’t take my word for it”…

Killzone 3 Teaser Trailer

With it’s focus on up close combat, the new Killzone 3 trailer makes it’s mark on us with a new trailer.

Killzone 3 is expected to have a big showing at E3 this year and is out the gate running.  Early hands on previews of the game have revealed that Sony is addressing the oft-criticized sluggish controls.  They also reveal that there will be jetpacks (Halo: Reach says hello) and a more intense hand to hand combat system.

We hope to get our hands on the game come PAX 2010 in September but in the meantime enjoy this stylish video.

Halo Reach Beta Live Action Trailer

You know you are a big videogame release when you have a high production live action trailer for a beta (aka demo) of your multiplayer game.  That’s exactly what we have here as Bungie has released a live action trailer for the beta of Halo Reach.

The beta is available to a select few plus the millions who purchased Bungie’s previous game, Halo 3:ODST last fall.  The hype train seems to be ramping up just for Halo Reach’s beta, which means we are sure to get the onslaught before the expected release this November.

The trailer (below) is actually in line with some of the other live action trailers we’ve seen for other Halo releases.  It may sound a bit odd, but I actually am excited to see what Bungie and Microsoft will roll out for the marketing campaign for Reach.  Past campaigns have truly set a benchmark for other videogames (and even entertainment for that matter).

One lesson we can learn from the trailer and the world of Halo is that if you drill a large needle in your head and your eyes turn blue.

When you need help: Just watch the A-Team Trailer

Maybe it’s just me wanting to relive the days of my youth, but the first look at the upcoming retread of the 80′s TV show, the A-Team has me very excited. Despite the lack of Mr. T, the cast also seems to be at least servicable, with Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and Sharito Coopley of District 9 fame. Sure it looks a little corny and over the top but it’s sure to bring escapist fun.

Splinter Cell Conviction Launch Trailer

In our circles, there is a lot of excitement for Splinter Cell Conviction, the latest in Ubisoft’s spy “drama”. While we may be more interested in the co-op experience, there is still quite a bit of anticipation over what will unfold in the story of Sam Fisher. Well for those of you in that boat, Ubisoft has dropped a new launch trailer to wet your appetite. Plus you get to listen to a little Johnny Cash…which is never bad.
